Let's be honest—most photographers get stuck trying to capture what they see exactly how they see it. That gap in translation, that's where I found my sweet spot. I'm constantly chasing those moments where I can translate what our eyes experience into something tangible you can feel.
My work sits on the edge where technical precision meets human connection. One project in particular stands out where I was suspended 150 feet above the Indian Wells tennis courts for ASICS. I was fixated on the interplay of athlete, shadow and line capturing not just a player, but a visual conversation between perspective and form that existed only from that top down vantage point.
I believe photography at its best is never complicated. It's deliberate, purposeful and stripped of unnecessary layers.
When I reflect back on the projects that define my portfolio, It's those pressure-cooker moments when everything's on the line where every skill, experience and instinct are all called on in that short period of time where choices and decisions have to be made and time is not on our side.
I don't just document what exists. I reveal what matters.
My approach is defined by three principles:
Connected—to subject, environment, and viewer.
Authentic—refusing to overly manufacture what can be discovered.
Personality—revealing character beneath the surface.
These are the projects that have built something in me that clients feel from our first coffee to the final files. A quiet confidence that says: we've got this.
I'm not here to just document. I'm here to show what matters.
